Started applying for startups via CutShort to assess how bad I am at coding. Oh, I should not have. Got a call from a company called Recro, Bangalore in the morning and took the technical round by afternoon. Was a 45 min test I think. It was a combination of 20 MCQs and a coding round.

Even the coding question was damn easy, somehow managed to screw it up. Took the first 15 to solve MCQs and the rest 30 to solve the coding one. For some reason, the formula on paper kept failing test cases on HackerEarth for huge numbers. Post timeout realized what I was doing wrong and corrected the formula for the solution.

Hence the end of the first interview experience. Realized HackerEarth has to be practiced and have to inculcate speed coding as well as remaining calm during interviews.

Here is my profile on HackerEarth — https://www.hackerearth.com/@vjnvisakh

Practiced a couple of questions on HackerEarth today. Retiring for the day a bit disappointed.
