Is AI taking away the fun?

AI is the buzzword today. Everyone is using it on their products. But is automation hurting us indirectly? Think about it. AI is taking the fun out of things.

  1. Programming—Gone are the days when we used to sit and try to figure things out and celebrate those debugging sessions. Now, it is just Tab-Tab-Tab, and the thing is ready.
  2. Media — It is hard to distinguish between reel and reality. The moments were precious when they were candid. Nowadays everything is picture-perfect. Do the pictures still speak a thousand words?
  3. Education — I used to look up to kids at school if they could solve a problem faster than others. Now it is just like which app they are using to get the answer so quickly.
  4. Driving — Driving was a hobby for many but with the self-driving cars today, you are just sitting amazed at how Waymo is doing all of this with ease.

It is good to have perfection but to the point that there are no imperfections left scares one. Won’t life be monotonous? There was a post that struck where a lady was saying —” I want AI to do my dishes so that I can focus on making art and not the other way around”.

Are we heading into a future where there will be more deaths by boredom?
