And we are back with another day filled with exciting technological advancements across the globe.

  1. Twitter introduces 2 new subscription tiers — X has come out with new tiers for additional revenue generation — Premium+ and Basic. While Premium+ costs 16$ per month with “largest reply boost”, edit posts, removes ads from your feeds, etc, Basic comes at 3$ per month for a “small reply boost”, edit posts, and longer posts but no blue tick mark. Plans are in addition to the Standard plan of 8$ per month.
  2. iOS 17.2 updates — The new Journal app (digital diary) is now available. You can now share playlists on Apple music. Emojis on iMessages. New customizable Action button (one used to silence your phone). Contact Verification Codes for iMessages. New clock and weather widgets and so much more.
  3. Meta Legal battle — Meta and Instagram are in yet another legal battle with 33 states of the US filing cases against the company for detrimental impact on youngsters for the addictive nature of their content. Penalties could be in the range of 1000$ to 50000$ per violation.
  4. Bharat 6g Vision — PM Narendra Modi put forth the vision of having 6g in India by 2030
  5. Lens in Maps — Google is experimenting with AI-powered Lens in Maps. This will come as a boost to travelers by helping them identify landmarks, shops, transit stations, EV charging points, lane guidance, etc. The aim is to produce a more realistic world inside your phone.
  6. Upgrade for Airtel XStream — Airtel is planning to launch an upgraded version of its FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) that will now support both indoor and outdoor surroundings.
